With their cinematic songs, the Hamburg duo Collapse Under The Empire attracted the attention of international specialist magazines such as Q-Magazin and Rocksounds shortly after they were founded in 2008. The hallmarks are the spherical soundscapes, which are equally dominated by guitars and synthesizers, creating an atmosphere that is able to convey great feelings through complex changes in style. Thematically, the path was also paved on the debut: global conflicts, catastrophes, death, isolation, longing and freedom are repeated themes on subsequent albums.
