POLSKI PIACH consists of musicians associated with the Warsaw improv scene and the Lado ABC record label. Following their very well received debut release POLUDNIE, which explores the sound of the original blues from the Badlands, the band takes a step forward and presents a new album featuring Patryk Zakrocki on guitars, Piotr Melech on bass clarinet and Piotr Domagalski on basolie. The title conveys the dark, dense atmosphere of their new compositions, which are based on the pulsing blues guitar but also draw on Polish sonorism and folk music. | |
